Blair School Remembers Jesse Farr
1990-2007

Jesse Cade Farr, 16, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital in Altus,
Oklahoma.
Jesse was born September 24, 1990, at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital to Troy Don and Cassie Dawn
(Johnson) Farr. His siblings include Seth Farr and Macy Farr. He was a
freshman at Blair School where he had
attended since Kindergarten.
Jesse loved life and charmed anyone he met. He lived his short
life to the fullest and left behind a legacy
of “Jesse stories.” Born to an agriculture family, he was no stranger
to hard labor, livestock, or horses. Jesse
preferred to be working rather than setting idle. He was a talented and
gifted cowboy. In his young life, he had
been employed as a farm laborer, heavy equipment operator, cowboy,
construction worker, and carpenter. He
was also an entrepreneur in raising cattle, hay hauling, lawn care, and
dry walling. Jesse had a God-given gift
to work and train horses. Jesse loved all sports and was passionate
about rodeo, baseball, and basketball. His
pursuit of a career in rodeo began when he was about 5 years old at an
open rodeo in Burkburnett, Texas.
Since that time, he has participated in the 4-H riding club and many
more open rodeos, team ropings, Junior
Rodeo Cowboy Association Rodeos, and Oklahoma High School Rodeos. He
was a member of United States
Team Roping Championships, Original Team Roping Association, and
American Amateur Team Roping
Championships. He won four saddles, numerous buckles, tack and other
prizes in team ropings and rodeos.
He was currently on the Blair Junior High and High School Baseball teams
and Blair Junior High Basketball
team. He was baptized at First Baptist Church of Blair and later moved
his membership to First Baptist Church
of Altus.
